ABOUT THE EVENING'S ARTISTS
Shaina Hayes
Performances at 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Originally from Shigawake, in Gaspésie, Shaina Hayes grew up listening to female singer-songwriters like Feist, Joni Mitchell and Regina Spektor, as well as country artists, both traditional (Hank Williams, Dolly Parton) and contemporary (Shania Twain, The Chicks). Her soft voice and music that elegantly and boldly combines folk and country are sure to captivate you.
Stéphanie Filion
Continuous creation, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Poet and visual artist Stéphanie Filion transforms paper into a field of experimentation. This evening, she will present Leporella, a performance that, similar to Joyce Wieland's work, explores written symbols and the way writing occupies space. On a long leporello – an accordion book in which each fold shapes the rhythm and senses – the poet will inscribe fragments of text, playing with ink and the bends of the paper. You will delight at the discovery of her fascinating practice.
